The Wendover marina docks, closed since March 2023 for safety reasons, are at the heart of a jurisdictional dispute between Ottawa, Queen’s Park and the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet. The federal government plans to demolish them by the end of October, with no replacement planned.
The site, which is provincially owned but under federal infrastructure, cannot be renovated without a tri-party agreement. The municipality is calling for the reconstruction of the docks, estimated at nearly one million dollars.
