Its president, Stéphane Oehrli, hopes for a quick resolution thanks to federal negotiations. Despite the loss of opportunities in the U.S. market, the company continued to produce steel wire and billets, while exploring other markets. The federal government has put in place a financial assistance program to support businesses affected by these tariffs. Ivaco remains cautious, but open to “all possibilities”.
