The United Counties of Prescott and Russell are planning a property tax increase of about 5% in 2026, after elected officials reinstated several expenses deemed essential. They are maintaining $100,000 for the emergency services master plan, adding $250,000 to support the Roger-Séguin Centre, which is threatened with closure in 2027, and restoring $150,000 for the Regional Community Investment Fund. The revised budget will be submitted for adoption on 26 November.
