The Township of Russell would like to advise residents that due to Canada Post service disruptions, many residents have not received their water, sewer and municipal utility bills on time. Although the municipality applies late penalties, Russell allows an exceptional reversal of late notice fees for that billing period. If in your case you have already paid the penalties, a credit will be applied to your next bill. In the coming weeks, the Township of Russell will submit an informal procedure to Council to regulate this type of situation in the future. Residents are responsible for ensuring that their bills are paid on time even in the event of a late postage.
