The Saint-Albert Community Group presented the results of a survey confirming the attachment of citizens to their community centre, which is threatened with closure in 2026. The building is considered solid but will require about $250,000 of work. The municipality is proposing to relocate the centre, park and skating rink for $2, with annual funding until 2035. Councillor Danik Forgues supports a community-based management model. The Group hopes to reach an agreement by the end of 2025 to ensure the future of the site.
