The Ontario Provincial Police have charged 82-year-old Maurice Lemieux of Embrun following an investigation into historical sexual assaults that occurred between 2005 and 2011.
The president of the Embrun Panthers and owner of the Village Hotel faces several charges, including sexual interference, sexual exploitation and assault on minors under the age of 16. Released after a release hearing, he will appear in court on January 7 in L’Orignal. The OPP encourages anyone with information to contact police.
