However, officials are calling for stable long-term funding as costs rise and nothing is guaranteed for next year. The Eastern Ontario Snowmobile Club considers the financial situation critical. MNA Stéphane Sarrazin says that the necessary money has been injected to save the trails this year and recalls the economic importance of snowmobiling. However, he warns that these subsidies are not guaranteed annually and calls for greater financial predictability.
