North Glengarry City Council has approved the installation of flashing crosswalk lights in Alexandria and Maxville. The first will be located on MacDonald Boulevard, near the Glengarry Sports Centre, and the second on Main Street in Maxville, in front of the post office. These devices are intended to improve safety on busy roads. The project will cost approximately $22,000 and installation is scheduled for spring or early summer 2026.
