The Burger King on Main Street in Hawkesbury will close for good on January 1, 2026 at 2 p.m., after 38 years in business. The closure, initially scheduled for 2027, was brought forward due to the sale of the building and an early vacancy of the premises. Sixteen employees are affected. Owner since 1987, Jean-Guy Legault emphasizes the importance of the restaurant in the community and thanks employees and customers.
