Hawkesbury Town Council has approved an emergency contract to add a fourth filtration system to the drinking water treatment plant in order not to lose a $3.8 million provincial grant. The work must meet strict deadlines between 2024 and 2028. To speed up the process, the municipality negotiated directly with engineering firms. The project aims to modernize the network and improve the efficiency of the plant.
