A fire broke out early Saturday morning in a commercial warehouse located on Route 34, in the Township of Champlain. Firefighters from Vankleek Hill and L’Orignal responded at approximately 6:05 a.m. after a recreational trailer caught fire, spreading the flames to a trailer and the main building. The fire was quickly brought under control with the help of neighbouring services. Two units sustained significant smoke and water damage. The fire, considered accidental, is still under investigation.
