The Township of Champlain is not prepared to invest nearly $1 million to build approximately 350 metres of sidewalk at Vankleek Hill, between the high school and the Foodland on County Road 34. City staff are recommending that the project be abandoned due to lack of space, which would result in costly modifications and specialized studies.
Council is scheduled to debate the recommendation at its meeting tonight.
