Born out of public consultations on the Alto TGV, the citizen group Hawkesbury sur la Piste is calling for a stop to be considered in Hawkesbury if the route crosses the region. Without opposing the project, the movement believes that an affected community should also benefit from it. Members highlighted Hawkesbury’s strategic regional role and potential impacts without local access. Formed on January 29, the group already has nearly 80 members and calls on elected officials and governments. Alto reminds us that the stops are set by the federal government and that the route remains under study.
