Orca Club Won’t Need To Worry About Lack Of Swimming

Competitive swimmers have been assured by the Town of Hawkesbury that any temporary closure of the indoor pool at the Robert-Hartley Sports Complex will be planned so as not to interfere with their programs. The Orca club, which has about 60 swimmers, feared a closure from April to September for dehumidification and water chemistry work. The administration acknowledges a lack of communication and specifies that the work, estimated at $500,000, is necessary for security and infrastructure reasons.
