The Alt-No group, which opposes the Alto high-speed rail project, is asking citizens to write to senators to vote against Bill C-15. A provision of the project would facilitate the expropriation of land for major projects, including the Ottawa-Montreal line that would cross Prescott-Russell, Argenteuil and Mirabel. The bill has already been passed by the House of Commons and now needs to be approved by the Senate.
