Debate Over Road Work In Alfred-Plantagenet

By Derrick Scott Mar 18, 2026 | 6:49 AM

A road surfacing project in Alfred-Plantagenet is sparking debate at the municipal council. A contract worth approximately $400,000 was awarded to Miller Paving to apply a double-surface treatment to gravel roads. The administration claims that this method is more economical than paving, although it has a shorter lifespan. However, some elected officials raise potholes and question its effectiveness. The municipality plans to treat about six kilometres this year.
