The former mayor of Clarence-Rockland, Marcel Guibord, died on April 1 at the age of 78. He led the municipality from 2010 to 2014. The City lowered the flags at City Hall to half-mast for a week to mark his passing. Born in Wendover in 1947, he succeeded Richard Lalonde before being defeated in 2014 by Guy Desjardins. The family will receive relatives and friends on May 1st at the Théo Brunet et fils funeral home, in Rockland.
