Clarence-Rockland Mayor, Mario Zanth joined Derrick Scott this morning with an update, and he did not hold back on his/the city’s opinion on the proposed high speed train project, calling it, “Absolutely destructive!” Zanth also provided us with an update on the reconstruction plan of Laurier Street in Rockland. It’s not just a matter of re-pavement, a lot of work needs to be done over the next year. But will there be temporarily fixes?
From Laurier Street, to County Road 17 becoming a two lane highway. When will the work be done, however it will be a a short distance, traffic problems will still happen past Caanan Road, which will be out of Clarence-Rockland’s control.
