The East Hawkesbury council is studying the condition of the sidewalks in Saint-Eugène after inspections and complaints from the public. Several sections present security risks and could expose the municipality to legal problems. The village has 2.2 km of sidewalks, installed in 1990, which require complete rehabilitation. Estimated costs range from $53,000 to $215,000 to repair and replace all sidewalks. Three options will be studied during the next budget discussions.
