Council for the Township of Russell has approved a 5% increase in municipal rink rental rates, effective June 1 for the 2026-2027 season. The measure is intended to offset rising operating costs and inflation, as rates have not been adjusted since 2023. The municipality will also review its facility allocation policy and assess costs after the first full year of the new recreation complex, which will include three rinks.
