Alto will soon be conducting field studies in East Hawkesbury as part of the proposed high-speed rail project. The work will include drone surveys, soil testing and drilling at selected locations to assess the environmental, economic, social and public health conditions of the corridor. However, the municipality reiterates its opposition to the project. The owners concerned will be contacted to allow access to their land, on a voluntary basis and with financial compensation.
