Ecolomondo, which operates a plant in Hawkesbury, is insolvent and has filed for protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act. The company is trying to restructure with the support of its main creditor, Export Development Canada, to which it owes more than $54 million. The plant employs 27 people. KPMG will oversee the process.
