ACFO Prescott-Russell is receiving $37,500 over two years from Canadian Heritage to develop a new strategy for rapprochement with Quebec’s border, particularly the Petite-Nation. The organization wants to create cultural and economic bridges between the two shores, especially in agri-food, tourism and culture. According to its executive director, Sylvain St-Pierre, strengthening French-language services is also an economic issue, since the loss of the Francophone face of Eastern Ontario hinders exchanges with Quebec customers.
