Council for the Township of Alfred and Plantagenet has approved $40,000 in additional spending for planning for the expansion of two sewer pumping stations in Plantagenet. Despite this increase in design costs, the projected budget of $350,000 will not be exceeded. The project, linked to the expansion of the village’s sewer lagoons, is funded in part by a provincial grant covering 73% of the total costs.
