The Township of North Glengarry has entered into a three-year agreement with Ottawa Fire Services to provide support for specialized rescue operations. At the request of the municipality, Ottawa will be able to intervene in complex situations, including rescues at heights, in confined spaces, in trenches, silos or using heavy machinery. These interventions require specialized equipment and training that North Glengarry does not have due to their low frequency and high costs.
