Hawkesbury OPP Arrest Two Persons Following Fraud Investigations

The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged two individuals following a fraud investigation.

On Saturday June 13, 2026, two individuals attended an address in East Hawkesbury township to purchase a vehicle and a crane. The victim had suspicion that the money used was fraudulent and contacted the Hawkesbury OPP.

As a result of the investigation, Christian-John DHJARNGBO, 46-years-old, of Montreal, Quebec, and Francois Roger FAFA NDAM, 49-years-old, of Ottawa, Ontario were charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

·      Personation with intent (Identity Fraud)

·      Possession of an identity document

·      Uttering counterfeit money – utter

·      Possessing counterfeit money – have in custody

·      Possess counterfeit instruments

·      Making counterfeit money

·      Fraud over $5000

·      Possession property obtained by crime under $5,000 – in Canada

The accused were both held for a bail hearing on Sunday June 14, 2026, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Ottawa.
