Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit will not lay charges against an OPP officer after an arrest in Rockland in March. A 27-year-old man suffered a fracture during an intervention on Highway 17. According to the SIU, the man resisted arrest and brought down an officer. A second policeman hit him to subdue him. The man faces several charges, including impaired driving and assault on an officer.
