Prime Minister Mark Carney says his visit to Saudi Arabia resulted in the signing of 13 commercial agreements and memorandums of understanding between Canadian and Saudi businesses and institutions. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the agreements have a potential value of more than $1 billion.
However, Conservative foreign affairs critic and Stormont–Dundas–Glengarry MP Eric Duncan downplayed the significance of the deals, describing them as non-binding documents based primarily on future intentions rather than firm commitments.
