A house was heavily damaged by a fire Sunday evening on Valerie Place in Clarence-Rockland. According to Clarence-Rockland Fire, crews were called just after 8:15 p.m. and arrived to find an electric scooter fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to about half the home, the roof, and a neighbouring home’s siding. Firefighters brought the blaze under control, and the cause remains under investigation. Clarence-Rockland Fire suspect the fire started in the electric scooter.
