OPP Investigate Fatal Collision Involving A Motorcycle

Members of the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision.

On Saturday, August 29, 2026, just after 3:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a collision on County Road 43 near County Road 30, North Glengarry Township. Initial investigation indicates that a passenger vehicle turned left in front of an oncoming motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, A 77-year-old male from Cornwall, was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries.

County Road 43 was closed in both directions between County Road 30 and Dornie Road for several hours and has since reopened.

The investigation remains ongoing with support from the OPP East Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team.
