The Township of Russell is receiving more than $20,425 from the Ontario government to improve a public space in the heart of Embrun. The project involves the parking lot located near the New York Central recreational trail, at the corner of Notre-Dame and Blais streets. The work includes new landscaping, lighting, furniture, a bike rack and repair station, and better signage. The trail will also be moved behind the historic train station. Work will begin this summer and continue mainly in the spring of 2027.
