Interlude has launched its 2026 annual fundraising campaign, with a goal of raising $150,000 to help provide critical support to women and children who are victims of violence across Prescott-Russell and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
The campaign will help maintain the organization’s free, confidential and accessible services, including its 24/7 helpline, emergency shelter, one-on-one counselling, child-focused interventions, prevention programs and other support services.
These programs are designed to help women and children find safety while working toward greater independence and a future free from violence.
“Every contribution, whether large or small, enables us to continue our mission and provide essential, compassionate, and safe support to the people we serve,” said Muriel Lalonde, Executive Director of Interlude.
Lalonde says the annual campaign is also an opportunity for the entire community to get involved and show its support.
“Together, we have the power to bring about real change and build a community where every woman can envision a future free from violence,” she said.
Community events planned
Several fundraising events and initiatives will take place over the coming months, giving residents, businesses and community partners a chance to support Interlude.
The next event is a country music benefit concert featuring Andrew Charlebois on September 26. Organizers say the evening will bring the community together in a festive atmosphere while raising funds for Interlude’s programs and services.
The campaign will continue with the Interlude Benefit Evening on November 26, hosted by Renée Wilkin. The event will bring together businesses, partners and community members to support the organization’s work and help ensure essential services remain available to those who need them.
Annual raffle now underway
Interlude is also inviting residents to take part in its annual fundraising raffle, with tickets now available.
Thanks to the support of community partners, raffle participants will have the chance to win a $3,000 travel credit, along with a two-night stay at Grand Lodge Tremblant.
Local businesses encouraged to get involved
Interlude is also calling on local businesses to become campaign partners.
The organization says business support plays an important role in helping provide specialized services to women and children experiencing violence throughout the region.
With its $150,000 fundraising goal, Interlude says every donation, partnership and community effort can help ensure its services remain available to people who need them — when they need them most.
