Members of the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision.
On Friday, September 25, 2026, at approximately 8:00 a.m., officers responded to reports of a collision on McGill St in the town of Hawkesbury. Initial investigation indicates that a Tractor-Trailer collided with another vehicle.
As a result of the collision, the lone driver of the Tractor-Trailer, a 45-year-old, Martin DURANLEAU from Trois-Riviere, Quebec, despite lifesaving measures, was later pronounced deceased.
The other vehicle driver was transported to local hospital as precautionary measures.
McGill St remains closed between Spence Avenue and Main St, while an OPP Technical Collision Investigator and Reconstructionist assist with the investigation.
