Reconstruction work on St-Jean Street and Poupart Road in Clarence-Rockland is moving ahead as part of a $15-million investment in the city’s road network.
Phase 3 is now underway, beginning with the relocation of hydro lines. Reconstruction of St-Jean Street is scheduled to take place from summer 2026 through summer 2027.
The next phase will focus on Poupart Road, with that reconstruction expected to begin in 2028 and continue beyond.
The city says the project is aimed at improving the safety and reliability of the road network while preparing the area for future growth.
Mayor Mario Zanth says he recognizes the work will cause disruptions and thanked residents for their patience as construction continues.
