The Save Maple Hall Campaign was launched in August 2026 by the Cumberland Lions Club to raise approximately $80,000 for essential work required to protect, maintain and preserve Maple Hall for continued community use.

The Cumberland Lions Club is pleased to announce that, as of October 6, 2026, the Save Maple Hall Campaign had raised
$12,218, representing more than 15 per cent of its approximately $80,000 fundraising goal.

A dedicated Save Maple Hall Committee has been formed to review the actions and strategies undertaken since the
campaign began, assess the progress made, and determine the next steps needed to move the project forward.
Since the campaign was launched, several initiatives and fundraising activities have been organized to support the
Cumberland Lions Club’s efforts to preserve Maple Hall.

Together with direct donations from local residents, Club members, longstanding business partners, community
organizations and other generous supporters, these efforts have helped the campaign reach this important first
milestone.

The Cumberland Lions Club has also obtained a permit required for the initial phase of work and continues to work
closely with City of Ottawa staff as planning and coordination move forward.

“We are deeply grateful for the generosity and encouragement we have received during this first phase of the campaign.
Every donation, partnership and community initiative shows how much Maple Hall means to the people of Cumberland.
This progress belongs to everyone who has stepped forward to help,” said Sandy Gauthier, President of the Cumberland
Lions Club.

The Cumberland Lions Club extends its sincere appreciation to residents of Cumberland and the surrounding
communities, local businesses, media partners, community organizations and associations, Club members, and all donors
who have supported the campaign so far.

The Save Maple Hall Committee will provide further updates as the campaign enters its next phase. Continued support
from residents, local partners and elected representatives will help move the campaign forward.
