The United Counties of Prescott and Russell announce that construction of their new long-term care residence in Hawkesbury is officially complete. The Ministry of Long-Term Care has authorized the facility to welcome its residents, who will move in on October 21 and 22. Launched in the spring of 2021, this approximately $93 million project was originally scheduled for completion in late 2022, but its opening has been postponed several times since then. Located at 900 Spence Street, the new residence will offer modern facilities and an additional 78 beds.
